IDENTITY CRISIS

Keren Kroul, Curator

A recent addition to the community, guest curator Keren Kroul holds a BA in Fine Arts from Brandeis University in Boston, and a MFA in Painting from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Recently, her drawings and installations were exhibited in the MAX: 2003 and AMUM's Artlab Space.

Anne Gaines received a BFA in Painting from Memphis College of Art in 1991, and a MFA in Painting from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 2000. She teaches drawing, painting, and design at Drew University, NJ, and Parsons School of Design, NY. She has had two solo shows at Boxart Inc., in Brooklyn, NY, and has participated in numerous group shows in New York City galleries, including AIR Gallery, Artists Space, and Galapagos.

Kamilla Talbot received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1990. In 2000 she completed the certificate program at the New York Studio School in New York City. She currently teaches painting at the New York Studio School. Most recently, she has exhibited collectively at the Faaborg Museum and the Lonstrup Gallery, both in Denmark, and at the New York Studio School Gallery and The painting Center in New York City. In 2001 and 2002 she was granted fellowships to attend the Vermont Studio School.

Brad Hampton holds a BA from New York University (1992) and a MFA in Painting from parsons School of Design (2002). In 2003 he attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in ME. In 2004 he had two solo exhibitions, one in Seoul, Korea, and one at the Cranbrook Alumni Gallery in MI. His work has been in group exhibitions at Marlborough Chelsea Gallery, McGrath Galleries, and Artists Space, all in New York City.

Carole Loeffler holds a BFA in Sculpture from Rutgers University (1997) and a MFA in Sculpture from the University of South Florida (2001). She teaches Foundations at the School of Art and Design in Carbondale, IL. She has had numerous solo exhibitions, most recently at Northeastern Illinois University, ARC Gallery in Chicago, and the Community Center Gallery in Greenbelt, MD. She is currently working towards two solo exhibitions in PA and MD this Fall.

Megan Reed holds a BFA from New York University, and a MA from the Southern Illinois University. She attended the Parsons School of Design. She lives and works in San Francisco.

Courtney Ulrich holds a BFA in Glass from the California College of Arts and Crafts (1995), and a MFA in Sculpture from Parsons School of Design, NYC (2001). She is Assistant Director at Jeffrey Coploff Fine Art Gallery in New York City. Her most recent group exhibits have been at Here Gallery in New York City.

William O'Brien holds a BA from Loyola University (1997) and is a MFA candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator in Chicago, IL. Most recently, he has exhibited collectively at Rocket Projects, Miami, Higher Gallery, Chicago, and Modest Contemporary Art Projects, Chicago.
